IDT 8500:Research and Scholarship in IDT II

Description: Students develop an understanding of research methods, designs, and application learning and design scholars to theoretically and empirically investigate problems seen in practice. Students learn skills to critically consume literature.

IDT 8092: Research and Scholarship in IDT III

Description: Students engage in planning and designing a quantitative research plan to solve a problem of practice. More specifically, this course provides intensive instruction in quantitative research, where the student writes a quantitative research proposal for a design project, article, or dissertaiton.

DescriptionStudents use academic writing to develop a scholarly written document to address a problem of practice in the field of learning, design, and technology

IDT 8600: DiP Proposal Development

Description: Students develop and defend a dissertation in practice proposal for an endeavor that influences a contemporary, complex problem in design, learning, and technology. Students who have approved dissertation proposals are expected to seek and receive institutional review board (IRB) approval. With IRB approval, students are expected to begin carrying out the proposed research.
