IDT 8092: Research and Scholarship in IDT III

Description

Research and Scholarship in IDT III is a 5-week online course. In this course, the student engages in planning and designing a research plan to solve a problem of practice. More specifically, this course provides intensive instruction in quantitative research, where the student writes a quantitative research proposal. For this class, the student may choose to develop further or redevelop the evaluation plan initially designed for the instructional design project created across IDT 8060, 8070, 8080, and 8090. A student may also choose to develop a quantitative research plan derived from a review of literature written in previous IDT courses. This proposal may mimic what the student hopes to pursue in his or her dissertation research. The student may also choose to work on research for an article he or she hopes to publish. The student should, however, note that this course focuses solely on quantitative research;  he or she may use a quantitative, quantitative, or mixed-method approach for the dissertation or an article.
